Spain and Germans put in at 6/4

transfer talk & Latest betting..
We start with the latest betting as the first semi-final is nearly upon us - Sean Graham can't split Germany or Spain and they are both 6/4 joint favourites. Russia remain a live outside bet at 7/2 and the Turks are as big as 8/1 with the same firm.
Click on the right hand side of the blog to view both semi-final coupons.
Start emailing the PG and you could win free bets on the semi-finals and the final - the all-important email is now g.mulhern@belfastmediagroup.com

On to the latest transfer mumblings and it looks like Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor will stay (thank god for that) after being courted by AC Milan and Barca - staying in North London and Arsenal have signed £13.3million wonderkid Samir Nasri from Marseille. One for the Yid Army - Lukas Podolski has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Spurs - good player!.
Gary Megson is set to smash Bolton’s transfer record with a £12million swoop for Sweden hitman Johan Elmander - Bolton to go down looks a good punt next season. Liverpool fans be prepared for triple swoop as Rafael Benitez will demand £50million in big-name transfers. On his shopping list are David Villa, Daniel Alves, David Silva and Gareth Barry - Villa and Alves would greatly improve the team. West Ham have slapped a massive £8million price tag on Aston Villa target Anton Ferdinand -would swap him for Pascal Cygan.. Villa are also lining up a bid for Andy Johnson. Old Blues boss Jose Mourinho has cut short his holiday to take charge of Inter Milan’s pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
Poland midfielder Mariusz Lewandowski says he would love to play for Celtic while the Parkhead club face a double heartache in their moves for Roman Pavlyuchenko and Darren Bent.
Shola Ameobi is closing in on a £3million move to West Brom - crazy money for a guy who spends more time on the treatment table. Even more crazy is that Michael Dawson is a £4million target for Newcastle - easy 4 million for Spurs.

You's are about a week late with the Podolski news. That's old news. Try to keep up fellas!!

Spurs' will hopefully sign PSV keepr Gomes for £10m within the next week or so. PSV have confirmed their approach and are willing to sell.

The best news in the BBC's goosip column today was that Westlife want Wayne Rooney to take Bryan McFadden's place in the band!! WTF?? I suppose one fat b***ard replacing another!!

germany look a good bet.
Torres is going missing in the big games again and was subbed again just like the champions league semi final.
Is this why madrid and barca did not take the plunge and try and sign him last year?I noticed in the 2 vital pool v utd games also he did not turn up either.

2 great each-way golf bets....

PAT PEREZ @ 50/1 in the Buick Open

IAN POULTER @ 33/1 in the French Open

poulter is the nearly man of the european tour!

stay away from him.

A better each way bet for the french open/which pays top 5 or 6 in some bookies is Jeev Mika Singh at 40/1 and Thomas Levet at 40/1.Both showing good form going into the tournament.

After looking at the French Open field there are at least 10 - 15 players that automatically jump out at you. I mean, there's Karlsson (Europe's best player at present), Westwood (on the back of a superb US Open), Kaymer (just after winning in his home country) etc.

In reality though of Karlsson, Westwood or Jiminez play to the best of their ability they could run away with this tournament. Also, keep a close eye on Englands Oliver Wilson, he should have a good tournament.

thats why westwood, karlsson are favourite you see.Its easy to pick favourites, anyone can do that.

But good form comes into it and Jeev mika Singh and Home favourite Thomas Levet, both at 40/1 are too good a price to pass up.Westwood or Karlsson finish 2nd - 6th you will only get around 3/1 where as the two mentioned finish 2nd-6th you will get 10-1.

Its worth a £1 each way on both.
